Foger Vape Not Hitting? 8 Easy Fixes That Work

Foger Vape Not Hitting? 8 Easy Fixes That Work guide with Foger Bit 35K and Switch Pro

A Foger vape that will not hit is almost always a simple fix. There is no reset button and no settings menu, so the cause is usually physical: a cap left on, a closed airflow slider, a dead battery or a pod that is not seated. Work through these 8 fixes in order. Most people are vaping again by step 3.

Quick answer

  • Take off the silicone cap and open the airflow slider halfway.
  • Charge it with a USB-C cable if the screen is dark or low.
  • On a Switch Pro, pull the pod off, wipe the contacts and click it back on.
  • If the flavor is gone but the battery is fine, the juice is used up.
1

Take off the silicone cap

New Foger devices come with a soft silicone cap on the mouthpiece. If it is still on, air cannot flow and the sensor never fires. Pull it off and try a slow draw. New to Foger? Start with our beginner guide to using a Foger vape.

2

Open the airflow slider

If the airflow slider is closed all the way, you can get little or no vapor even when the coil fires. Move it to the middle and try again. Not sure where the slider is? See the switch on the bottom of a Foger vape.

3

Charge the battery

A dark screen or a very low number means the battery is too weak to heat the coil. On the Bit 35K, a blinking green lightning bolt means the battery is critically low. Plug in any USB-C cable for a few minutes, then try again. See our Foger charging guide.

4

Reseat the pod (Switch Pro)

On the Switch Pro, the base has to read the pod before it fires. Pull the pod straight off, then push it back on until the magnets click it flat. A pod sitting at an angle is a very common cause.

5

Wipe the gold contacts

A thin film of e-liquid or pocket lint on the gold pins can block the connection. Wipe the pins on the base and the bottom of the pod with a dry cloth. Do not use water or alcohol.

6

Check for a 188 or 000 code

  • 188 on the screen: the base cannot read the pod. Wipe the contacts, reseat the pod and tap the side button. If it stays, try a fresh pod. On a sealed Bit 35K, a 188 that will not clear usually needs a warranty replacement.
  • 000 on the screen (Switch Pro): the pod is empty or worn out. Swap in a new pod. Every screen code is explained in our Foger not working guide.
7

Let it cool down after a red flash

A solid red flash when you draw means the device hit a safety cut-off, often from long or fast puffs. Leave it alone for about 60 seconds. It clears by itself.

8

Check if the juice is used up

Neither Foger screen shows a juice level. If the battery reads fine but the vapor is thin and the flavor is gone, the e-liquid is finished. Replace the Bit 35K, or swap a new pod onto your Switch Pro. To stretch the next one, read how long a Foger vape lasts.

Burnt taste instead of no hit? That usually points to a dry or worn coil, often from chain vaping. Take breaks between puffs. If a fresh pod still tastes burnt, the device may be faulty.

Still not hitting?

Try a quick power cycle: plug it into USB-C for about a minute, unplug, then take a slow draw. On a Switch Pro, also pull the pod off, wait a moment and click it back on. If nothing works, contact the shop you bought it from. There is no safe home repair for the battery or coil, so do not open the device. Here is why opening a Foger is risky.

FAQs

Why is my new Foger vape not hitting?

Most often the silicone cap is still on or the airflow slider is closed. On a Switch Pro, check that the pod is clicked fully onto the base.

Is there a reset button on a Foger?

No. The closest thing is charging it for about a minute, unplugging, and reseating the pod on a Switch Pro.

Why does my Foger light up but not hit?

The battery is working, so look at airflow, pod seating and juice. A light with no vapor often means the airflow is closed or the juice is used up.

Why is my Foger blinking and not hitting?

On the Bit 35K, a blinking green lightning bolt means the battery is critically low. Charge it. A blinking 188 is a pod or coil read error.

The bottom line

Start with the easy checks: cap off, airflow open, battery charged. On a Switch Pro, reseat the pod and wipe the contacts. Codes like 188 and 000 point to the pod, and a red flash just needs a short rest. If the battery is fine but the flavor is gone, it is simply empty.
